Founded in 1999 to build fixtures for the HP 3070 board tester, Test Head Engineering has grown to produce test fixtures of all types. Test Head Engineering designs test fixtures that give our customers reliable and repeatable ways to connect to their devices under test (referred to as DUT or UUT). Our test fixtures are used both in R&D and in production.

These custom fixtures facilitate rapid and efficient testing of loaded circuit boards (PCB's or PCBA's) and completed products. When we say "test fixtures, " we mean any type of fixture that our customer needs to have built to test their Unit Under Test - fixtures that hold on to, connect to, manipulate, stimulate, measure, read, etc., etc., etc.

We have solved myriad fixturing problems over the last two decades, so we have plenty of tricks "up our sleeve" that help us to quickly and cost-effectively solve production test fixturing challenges. Our designers work directly with our customer's technical personnel to understand the requirement and to help management develop a quotation.
Services
We build In-Circuit Test Fixtures (ICT) for 3070 board testers.
For more than 2 decades, our 3070 PCBA test fixtures have been known for quality, creative problem solving, and on-time delivery.
Test Head Engineering is a long-standing Keysight Technologies 3070 ICT Solution Partner, dating back to Hewlett-Packard, continuing through the Agilent period, up to today.
We also provide turn-key 3070 ICT solutions - both fixture and programming - through our partnership with In Circuit Test Engineering, Inc.
Test-Head Engineering develops and manufactures RF Test Fixtures which allow the testing of RF and Wireless modules and components.
We provide custom RF shielded test fixtures whose Faraday cages keep the UUT's RF signals in and the ambient EMI out.
This allows our fixtures to be used right in the middle of the production floor instead of having to divert the UUT into a screen room for testing.
Latch-on fixtures probe terminal blocks and provide a convenient electrical connection to products during manufacturing.
These quick and reliable connections are used to power-up and communicate with those products - eliminating the need for production technicians to manually wire them.
These convenient test clamp fixtures facilitate product programming, adjustment, and final test.
Typical applications for latch-on test fixtures are metering devices, control panels, and any type of controls that connect via terminal strips or terminal blocks.
Test Head Engineering has created all sorts of custom test fixtures to solve our customers' unique needs.
Our project gallery is where we put some of the typical solutions, such as side-access test fixture techniques and other solutions to stimulate your thoughts about how we can solve your testing needs.
Here are the things that will help you work with Test Head Engineering to develop your own custom test fixture.
This test fixture checklist covers what needs to be considered when we do a fixture for you.
It is a great tool to help organize your thoughts about what you need your test fixture to be.
It is a great starting point if you are developing a Statement of Work.
Exchanging files is an important part of the fixture development cycle.
Typical files provided by customers are lists of points to be tested, Gerber Files and Solid Models of UUTs.
