Toolander Engineering is a family owned and run business spanning 3 generations of Tool and Die makers.
Toolander opened its doors in 1975 by Harri Kutzmarski an immigrant from Germany who served his apprenticeship as a Machine Builder in his native country.
Harri moved to the states in 1960 and ended up in Rochester New York where he got a job at a Tool and Die shop and became fascinated with the progressive dies.
A few years later Harri went searching for warmer climates and found Southern California.

When the stamping process ends the journey for the parts are often just beginning.
Automated machines are sometimes necessary to assemble one product to another.
The team at Toolander Engineering can design and build automated equipment around your stamped parts to support you in a plethora of secondary operations.
We have built automation equipment and machines that have produced millions upon millions of part assemblies.
Whether a part needs to be crimped, staked, riveted or inserted into another product.

A successful part often starts with a prototype model.
Prototypes are necessary to test different materials and designs of a part.
Costly mistakes in production can add up if this step is neglected.
At Toolander Engineering we have over 40 years experience in producing complex tight tolerance prototypes with short lead times.
Short run tooling is always an option when a few hundred to a few thousand parts are needed before the permanent tool is built.
At Toolander Engineering we can produce parts with short run tooling that are comparable to parts made in a progressive die.
