The General Building Contractors Association (GBCA) recognized the Sister Cities Discovery Garden and collaborative teams for the 2020 Best Green Space Project. CVM acted as the Structural Engineer. This project, inspired by Philadelphia's Wissahocken Valley, provides visitors with winding pathways, scalable rocks, and a meandering stream that connect natural elements with the man-made environments surrounding them.
The new PPR Residence Hall along the edge of Swarthmore College's arboretum campus, located in suburban Philadelphia, anchors a dynamic resident village on a constrained site. Surrounded by three 19th century residence halls and the outfield fence of the school's baseball field, the project delivers 128 beds in suite-style apartments and activates an isolated corner.
