Linn Engineering has performed numerous civil site design projects.
The typical scope of work involves topographic and boundary surveys; resolution of any zoning issues; preparation of plans for grading, utilities, pavement, sidewalks, and erosion/sediment control; calculation of quantities; preparation of engineer's opinion of construction cost; specification writing; plan review; and preparation of bidding and construction contract documents.
Depending on the scope of the project and its location, a delineation of waters of the United States may be needed.

Linn Engineering provides site development and planning services from conceptual design through final construction plans for a variety of land development projects.
Site development plans typically involve close coordination with the client and others, such as architects, grant writers, attorneys, utility providers and local jurisdictions.
The design process usually begins with a conceptual or preliminary plan that is shared with the local jurisdiction for initial review and comment.
This plan may go through a series of revisions before arriving at the point where it is ready for formal review and ultimate approval.

Our firm utilizes current digital technology in all aspects of our projects.
Our initial purchase of GPS surveying hardware and software was made in 1992.
Since then we have upgraded twice and currently own four GPS receivers that have access to U.S., Russian and European satellites.
In other words, we have access to all the world's GPS satellites.
The greater the number of satellites on which "lock" can be maintained enhances productivity and accuracy.
In addition to our GPS equipment, we have a robotic total station with reflectorless prism capability.
