TSD Engineering was founded by James Holst, a registered Professional Engineer in the state of California. James has been a trusted voice in the field of mechanical engineering and finite element analysis for over 40 years. He has worked in a multitude of industries - electronics, optics, semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, biomedical, energy, defense, marine and more.

James is ready to integrate into your design team performing simulations, optimizing designs and certifying your products to meet various codes and standards. TSD Engineering offers introductory and custom-built training courses for Creo Simulate and SolidWorks Flow, along with a more personalized one-on-one mentoring program that focuses on integrating simulation tools into the design process.

All training is taught by James Holst, utilizing decades of experience in simulation-driven design. James emphasizes real world problem solving, not just button pushing and making pretty pictures, and he will work side-by-side with your design team to help them make the most of their tools.
Services
TSD Engineering was founded in 1982 by Jim Holst.
Jim is a licensed registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of California with the Department of Consumer Affairs.
He has been a consultant in the field of applied mechanics since 1978.
He has been involved in many industries including electronics, semiconductor, medical, aerospace, automotive, marine and nuclear performing physical tests and computer simulations in support of design engineers.
To accomplish this mission Jim promotes the integration of mechanical design simulation and optimization tools into the front of the design process.
TSD Engineering currently offers introductory and custom training using Creo Simulate by Parametric Technology Corp. as well as a mentoring program to cover the subject of integrating simulation tools into the design process.
It is assumed that all instruction/consulting will be performed at the customer facility and the customer will provide a conference room or other similar location equipped with a white board and computer screen projector for this purpose.
Also, the customer will make Creo Simulate licenses available on their computer system for participants to use while working through the training examples.
