Since 2001 Hodge Engineering has been providing builders and owners with engineering and support services. Since the beginning principal engineer John Hodge has focused on residential and light commercial engineering. Today Hodge Engineering has six employees and is licensed in four states. Our lateral engineering provides the builder with all of the necessary construction details, seismic straps and shearwall schedules to adequately brace their structure in both wind and seismic design.
Once we receive a finalized plan from the designer, builder or architect we gather all of the spectral and wind data in regards to the building site and run the building through the worst projected earthquake and windstorm it will experience in the next 50 years.
Once structural weaknesses are identified we call out the required bracing panels and seismic straps to ensure your safety if or when one of these natural disaster occurs.
