The Auburn Ravine Fish Passage Improvement project entailed construction of a fish ladder to enhance Chinook salmon and steelhead trout passage over the Nevada Irrigation District's stream gaging structure located in the Lincoln Crossing Nature Preserve, 1,000 feet downstream of Highway 65 in Lincoln.
This is a "nature-like fishway" consisting of a series of constructed rock chutes and armored step pools in a way that mimics the morphology of a natural channel.
The constructed chutes and pools span the channel downstream of the existing gaging station and are designed to dissipate stream power over the drop from the facility's existing concrete flume to the streambed below, while all the gaging station to continue accurate measurements of streamflow.

With FEMA recently updating their Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM), your home loan lender may require you to update your flood insurance policy as well.
When purchasing a new home, come the eleventh hour, you may find out that you need flood insurance, and part of that process will be to hire a surveyor to have an Elevation Certificate completed on your behalf.
Give us a call and the Area West Engineers, Inc. (AWE) surveyors will be more than happy to help.
We know that time can be of the essence when you're trying to close a loan, and we will do everything we can to have the Certificate accurately completed and submitted within the needed time frame.
