The Markosky Engineering Group
Markosky is proud to be celebrating over 22 years in business. We are a woman-owned company and provide an array of environmental and engineering services. Our staff is trained with and continually practices a culture of COLLABORATION. Cross-discipline training is a large part of this culture. Having professionals adept in multiple areas allows us to ensure that our clients' best achieve their budget, scheduling and performance goals.

Crucial deadlines are consistently met because environmental scientists support engineers, engineers assist archaeologists, and bridge inspectors help out with design and detailing tasks. Markosky focuses on sustainability. We volunteer for activities such as Adopt-A-Highway cleanup. We reduce the waste within our company by using local recycling programs.

We support organizations dedicated to improving the environment, such as Watershed associations. These practices are also evident in our work on projects. Our Environmental Division, which includes a Cultural Resources Department, is trained and knowledgeable when it comes to preserving nature and structures, proper permitting, and monitoring projects during construction.

Joyce Markosky's grandfather, John Robb, bought 80 acres of farmland along Route 711 in Ligonier Township, PA in 1920.
In 1927 he married and shortly thereafter mail-ordered a house from the Aladdin Company of Bay City, Michigan, a "kit home" similar to those sold by Sears.
We provide a "one-stop-shop" for all aspects of environmental planning, permitting, design, construction and evaluation of environmental impacts and mitigation.
Markosky's environmental staff has experience in performing environmental assessments, technical writing, construction monitoring and effective agency coordination.

These relationships ensure effective and consistent agency reviews and result in cost effective permitting efforts on behalf of our clients.
Markosky's Archaeology Group is dedicated to streamlining clients' Section 106 or other compliance needs, no matter the size or complexity of your project.
At Markosky, our archaeologists meet and exceed the Secretary of the Interior (SOI) Standards (36CFR§61) for their positions.
We are skilled at multidisciplinary research, sound and reflexive fieldwork methodologies, and quality data analysis.
Our clients can rely on our communicative management, as well as our clear and thorough reports, to streamline the Section 106 Concurrence process and accomplish any project specific goals.
