Services
We began and continue to operate on the premise that experience, knowledge, and performance in specialized areas of engineering are needed by various industries on an "as needed" basis.
This alternative results in quality service and technical "know how" without the overhead costs of full-time staff.
ARK Engineering was incorporated in 1995 to support the expansion of the company in areas of new technology and international markets.
Many of our clients are expanding their operations into different areas of the world and as a result, ARK Engineering has provided worldwide engineering services to these clients.
ARK Engineering is a pioneer in the analysis and mitigation design for AC and DC Interference and AC Corrosion issues.
Utilizing state-of-the-art software and over 30 years of industry experience, our staff models, analyzes, and designs cost effective solutions to mitigate these issues for personnel safety and structural integrity.
Pipelines, railroads, and telecommunication systems are often designed to share rights-of way with high voltage electric circuits.
The induced voltages and currents due to the AC interference effects can cause a number of safety issues and pipeline integrity damage if not properly mitigated.
AC interference effects have been identified as a cause of AC Corrosion mechanisms on pipelines.
It is possible for AC Corrosion to occur at induced voltages less than those considered acceptable for personnel safety.
Under the direction of a Project Manager, design and specification of materials for cathodic protection systems including impressed current and galvanic anode systems for pipelines and other metallic structures.
Cathodic protection system design decisions for design of a vertical groundbed vs. a horizontal groundbed.
Use of industry standard calculations differentiating between groundbeds for galvanic anode systems.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's, or foreign educational equivalent, in Materials Engineering plus 2 years of corrosion experience.
