Our multi-disciplinary team can help you develop and improve your land just the way you want to, and save you time, money, and headaches. We specialize in land development and stormwater drainage, including development and restoration in or near floodplains, streams, wetlands, and other sensitive environmental areas.

Also, for those of you fortunate enough to have property adjacent to a flowing stream, we also provide analysis, design, and installation of micro-hydroelectric systems to help you take advantage of this ecologically friendly and very cost-effective renewable energy resource.Whether your project involves developing a 300-acre high-end subdivision or a utilitarian 1/2-acre lot, each piece of land has its own unique challenges and opportunities.

It gives us great satisfaction to help you meet those challenges, expand your opportunities, and achieve your personal goal for your property. We would welcome the opportunity to talk with you about your project ideas and how we can serve you.
Services
Armfield Engineering was started in 1996 by Ken Armfield, the company's owner and chief engineer.
We are part of a team of independent professionals in civil engineering, planning, architecture, environmental biology, and land surveying who have been collaborating on projects with each other for many years.
When you work with our company, you are working with dedicated and conscientious experts who each have at least 15 years experience.
We take pride in doing excellent work and treating your project as if it were our own.
We can help you to both improve the practical uses of your land and to take advantage of the aesthetic and recreational opportunities of your property's interaction with water.
For those of you fortunate enough to have property adjacent to a flowing stream, we can help you take advantage of this ecologically-friendly and very cost-effective renewable energy resource.
If you have property with a stream or irrigation line, micro-hydro-electric could be immediately cost-effective, especially with the current financial incentives and recent technological advances.
We've provided services for over 50 different residential and commercial projects in the Colorado Front Range and Foothills area from Littleton to Greeley, ranging in size from 1/2 acre to 300 acres.
A 1-acre commercial site in the Silver Peaks development at I-25.
We prepared the site plan, design, and construction drawings for the grading, drainage, paving, utilities, landscaping, and lighting.
As a special design and construction phasing challenge, through negotiations with the City of Dacono, the developer was allowed to concurrently open the property for business (using a temporary construction trailer and an inventory of onsite construction equipment) while final design and construction of the site and office building was underway.
Your local city or county government will help you find out about most of the requirements for developing your property, however, their primary job is to protect the public and possible future owners of your land, not to help you develop your property in the way that is actually best for you.
Here are some suggestions on how to avoid the most common pitfalls that developers and architects often miss until it is too late.
Being aware of these issues before you purchase a piece of property and begin design (and especially before you begin construction!)
