These newsletters contain updates from the KSPE President, Executive Director, event news and much more!
As you prepare for an engineering career, you'll receive the digital edition of PE, the only magazine dedicated to the engineering profession.
The magazine is packed with articles covering the latest issues in licensing, education, employment, ethics, legal and liability issues, and other topics.
Members-only e-newsletters, like NSPE Update, and Daily Designs offer the latest news on shifting trends and new technologies.
First and foremost, NSPE and KSPE protects your PE license - we do this at the local, state, and national level.
Few, if any, Engineering organizations have lobbyists actively engaged in Washington DC and at the Kansas Statehouse in Topeka.
KSPE's lobbying arm represents PE's in the Kansas Statehouse and keeps members abreast of legislative activity during the legislative session.
We provide a community and network of professionals - which helps develop relationships, lead to career opportunities, provides technical support, and offers insight.
With Kansas Legislature meeting each year, KSPE's government affairs team works on its members' behalf on several legislative fronts.
The 2021 and 2020 Sessions particularly generated considerable discussion on licensure issues in both the House and Senate, along with transportation, water policy, KPERS and others.
In 2021, KSPE led a coalition seeking the extension of the University Engineering Initiative Act (UEIA).
The program, created in 2011, provides $10.5M each year to be evenly split with the Kansas State University, University of Kansas and Wichita State University's to invest in their engineering schools.
