Founded in 2000, the Georgia Engineering Alliance (GEA) is a volunteer-driven, collaborative coalition of professional societies and related industry organizations serving the broad needs of Georgia's engineering community. In addition to coalition meetings and best practice seminars, the four major annual activities of GEA are the: Legislative Coalition, Engineering Georgia magazine, Georgia Engineering Awards and Georgia Engineers Summer Conference.
Legislative Advocacy - Serving as a coalition to enable engineers across the state of Georgia to speak with one voice on issues and policies that impact the industry. Best Practices - Sharing information and insights between the various GEA organizations resulting in obvious benefits for the associations' members, engineering profession and general public.
Leadership Training - Providing an opportunity for engineering association's emerging leaders to both learn and experience the demands and requirements of successfully running respective GEA organizations.
