Founded in 1923, Henkels & McCoy Group builds and connects the world's strongest utility infrastructure networks. As a premier, privately held construction and engineering contractor, we serve leading companies in the power, oil & gas pipeline, gas distribution and communications markets. Our generations of workers pride themselves on connecting with customers and helping them connect with the world.

Over time, we have grown from a tree-trimming and landscaping company into a nationwide utility infrastructure contracting firm with more than 70 offices. We operate under two wholly owned subsidiaries: Henkels & McCoy Inc. and HMI Services. Using our proven Connected Infrastructure Model, we connect all fundamental parts and processes of successful infrastructure construction.

Over the past century, we have successfully designed and constructed millions of miles of safe, reliable and world-class infrastructure for our utility, commercial and government customers.
Services
Our Goal is to recreate Henkels & McCoy Group companies continuously as a strong, prosperous, and diverse business that lives the values of its founders.
We are the builders of the world's strongest infrastructure networks, bringing reliable energy, communications and utilities to people everywhere.
Our generations of workers share a proud, century-long tradition of building America's backbone.
For us, the hard work is the best work - this important work keeps the lights on, houses warm, people connected and the economy growing.
We extend our passion for safety to every aspect of our work.
Safety is interwoven into our culture and daily practices and drives the development of impeccable work practices.
Safety is at the core of the way we observe, communicate, and investigate behavior.
We follow a daily safety management system of leading and lagging indicators, including coaching observation trends, work site audits, good catch and near miss reports, corrective action follow-ups, total recordable incident rates, days away, and restricted duty and transfers.
Our nearly 100-year history as a leader in the infrastructure construction industry has taught us that top performance in infrastructure is only possible when there is a consistent and seamless connection of all fundamental parts and processes.
Any job, big or small, has 10 fundamental components that if not effectively and consistently connected will drag down project performance and, worse, create unforeseen gaps, unnecessary costs, schedule overruns and expensive, at-risk safety issues.
Our proven model efficiently and effectively connects all 10 of the fundamental areas of successful infrastructure construction.

In 1991, Mr. Henkels became Manager of the firm's Southwest Division, located in Lewisville, Texas.
In four years, he restructured the organization into a growing and profitable operation for the company.
Building connections is the core of the infrastructure industry and the core of our business philosophy.
It's this enduring focus on creating seamless integrations between our projects, our customers, our people and our communities that drives our track record of top performance.
We achieve top performance in utility infrastructure construction and engineering by embedding our Connected Infrastructure Model into every project we complete.
We help our customers connect reliable energy, utilities and communications to people everywhere, for generations to come.
