Founded in New Orleans in 1989 as a commercial architecture and engineering department within a larger organization, WDG continues to provide design services to clients in the Greater New Orleans area, the Gulf Coast region, and around the country.
WDG is certified by the City of New Orleans as a State and Local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and through the State of Louisiana Hudson Initiative as a Small Entrepreneurship (SE, or Hudson Vendor).

WDG frequently partners with national and local contractors in a design-build capacity to provide owners with turn-key facilities and streamlined project delivery services as needed.
Our firm collaborates with national and local design firms in a variety of capacities, either as an engineering consultant, as an architect, as a local architect or engineer of record, LEED consultant, project manager, owner's rep, QAQC reviewer, and in other ways as appropriate for the particular project.

Several members of our staff hold leadership positions in both local and national professional organizations such as the local AIA chapter, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), the Louisiana State Selection Board, the Louisiana chapter of the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE), and the New Orleans Architecture Foundation (NOAF).
