Welcome to CEA Consulting Engineers where we take a collaborative approach to providing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineering services to the Central Oregon area. CEA was established in Bend in 1998 as an HVAC design firm. We have recently expanded to provide a full range of MEP design and consulting services to serve the local Architectural and Construction community.

Larry started his career with BHCD Engineers in Denver, Colorado.
Serving as Project Engineer and then as Project and Group Manager for office building design.
In 1984, Larry founded and served as President of ABS Consultants, an MEP design firm which subsequently grew to 40 employees by the mid 1990's.

Larry Scharf, CEA Principal in Charge, worked at MDA for 15 years before moving to Central Oregon.
He has an excellent relationship with MDA and a deep trust in Ron Timko's Electrical Department.
This trust was developed over many years of teamwork on hundreds of projects.
Ron is Registered in Oregon as well as 17 additional states.

This typically occurs in conjunction with the Civil Engineer.

Communication with Global Risk Consultants or other risk management partners to define which requirements are pertinent and economically prudent to a specific project.
