Services
We take an active interest in your facilities and energy systems to help your business be successful.
Our goal is to develop a long-term relationship with every customer and to meet all of your analysis, design, construction, and plant engineering needs.
These relationships have made ThermalTech a highly specialized engineering firm providing a comprehensive set of customer related services.
Design of new buildings, additions, renovations, central energy plants, process utilities.
A different approach to project delivery, ThermalTech can manage the entire design and construction process rather than the builder.
The study of MEP systems covers a broad range of systems and needs.
From understanding consumption and existing capacity to planning for expansion and disaster recovery, every facility manager is tasked with having a deep understanding of their systems capabilities and opportunities for improvement.
ThermalTech began as a study based firm and has nearly 40 years of analysis experience to in assisting Owners understand their historical, current, and projected needs.
Our approach is tailored to the needs of the project to included customer financial criteria such as IRR, borrowing rates, and actual contracted energy costs to make best decisions when modeling life-cycle cost analysis or when simply scaling projects for the best economic advantage.
Please contact us with any questions related to arc flash studies, NFPA 70E, electrical system documentation, or protective device coordination.
We would be happy to discuss your current situation as it relates to these issues and work with you to design an electrical safety program so that your facility can be as reliable as possible, while keeping your employees safe.
Arc Flash is an intense release of energy due to an arcing fault between phases or phase to ground in an electrical system.
The cause of the fault normally burns away during the initial flash and the arc fault is then sustained by the establishment of a highly-conductive plasma that can reach 35,000 degrees F. This energy release creates light, heat, shrapnel, and pressure waves which can cause severe burns, hearing damage, and even death.
Our scanning capabilities supplement our analysis and design work.
Traditional field work often requires return visits to double check dimensions or take extra pictures.
A 3D scan of your facility saves time and money, and gives you an accurate 3D digital model.
The scanner uses a laser beam to capture data points as it reflects off surrounding surfaces, and a built-in camera applies color to those points.
We combine individual scans to create a complete "point cloud" of your facility.
We use the point cloud to verify dimensions, check clearances, and extract geometry to create accurate drawings.
Construction administration is a critical service in delivery of a project.
It is during construction that the engineer works with the selected contractors to ensure that the work is completed in compliance with the drawings and specifications.
Submittals are reviewed and returned as a construction phase service which protects the customer from delays or unrecognized mistakes in supply.
The use of the correct materials is verified and conditions are checked.
Review project schedules, schedule of values, submittals, pay applications and other documents and contracted.
