Formed through the acquisition of two well-respected and industry-leading telecommunications engineering firms, Communications Network Engineering (CNE) is a 100% employee-owned company with locations in Fargo, North Dakota, and New London, Minnesota. Because we're an employee-owned company, we are all owners and responsible for our success. As a result, we hold each other accountable to do the right work for the right reasons.

We are professional engineers, and we take that responsibility very seriously. Our interactive approach with our clients results in finding the right solution for the application. The CNE team provides services to telecommunications providers including rural cooperatives, privately held corporations, municipalities and county governments, and is among the industry leaders in FTTP engineering/deployment.

CNE has experience with FTTP dating back to the mid-1990s. Our leadership team and key staff members were involved with the first two RUS FTTP field trials, and their combined experience and insight are second to none.
Services
In the spring of 2011, the owners of Communication Consultants, Inc. and Communication Network Engineers, Inc. proposed selling their engineering firms to four of their key employees.
They felt this would be in the best interest of the existing clients and employees.
Selling to another engineering firm may have lessened the commitment to the clients and jeopardize some of the staff's existing positions.
In the spring of 2021, Communication Network Engineers, Inc. was acquired by Moore Holding Company.
As an employee-owned company, CNE is committed to sustaining a family culture, coupled with sustainable business practices that create long-term value for employees and clients.
We are proud that many of our clients and employees have been with us for decades.
The longevity of our employees is key in building lasting relationships with our clients.
Together, we create long-term success.
CNE employees know that the work they do every day makes a difference.
They are not working for someone else, because they are contributing to the success of a company they own.

Over the last few years, ransomware attacks have surged around the globe.
This rise in malware attacks has begun to affect how cyber insurance underwriters measure the risks associated with them.
Insurers have started taking notice, even denying extortion coverage to companies that have not implemented multi-factor authentication (MFA) and endpoint detection and response (EDR).
Furthermore, the cost of cyber insurance is rising for the same reasons.
How can your company protect itself from becoming an easy malware target and satisfy cyber insurance requirements?
