McCord Engineering, Inc. has provided consulting engineering, data collection, and project management services to municipal electric companies and rural electric cooperatives across Texas. After graduating from Texas A&M University in 1970, Jimmy McCord set out to gain experience and knowledge in the electrical engineering field. He began by serving as a Staff Consulting Engineer and later as Vice President during his 15 year tenure with Electric Power Engineers, Inc.
Through this training and the wisdom gained during this time that Mr. McCord realized his dream of starting his own firm could, in fact, become reality. In 1985, McCord Engineering, Inc. opened its doors. What began as a small firm of five employees serving about ten clients has grown into a reputable consulting firm of over sixty staff members (eight registered engineers) who serve well over thirty active clients.
MEI's home office is based in College Station, TX and our two satellite offices are located in Georgetown, TX and Denton, TX.
