(GMI) is a small engineering-oriented company specializing in development and production of reinforced plastic composites for technical applications.

Plant equipment consists of complete machine shop facilities, 10 molding presses (varying from 50 to 500 ton capacity), curing ovens up to 12' x 15' x 7' (with curing temperatures up to 400°F), filament winding equipment (both tubular and spherical) and vacuum bag molding equipment. The manufacturing facility is 30,000 square feet with personnel consisting of machinists, technicians, quality control and engineers.

Development and production of rocket nozzles for Sidewinder 9M-9L, Chaparral, Sparrow, Sea-Sparrow, AMRAAM, and Hellfire Missiles projects. Development and production of large ground-based radomes for both military and commercial applications. In addition to these projects, we have also been involved in custom moldings, such as leading wing tips for fighter aircraft and other specialized moldings.
Services
Since 1963, our capabilities have been utilized by the military and aerospace industries to produce components requiring exacting specifications.
It is now under direction of the second generation and is being carefully positioned to maintain its presence in the military and aerospace marketplace, while expanding its presence in the commercial arena.
As military and aerospace needs are identified, GMI steps up to help with the solutions.
During the last 42 years, GMI has found their range of products increasing to cover a number of related disciplines.
At present, Geonautics Manufacturing, Inc. occupies 30 thousand square feet of manufacturing space.
Our fabrication capabilities are such that we can offer a combination of custom design, state-of-the-art material processes at competitive prices.
The fabrication facility includes presses which develop forces from 50 to 500 tons of pressure to mold a large variety of materials into their desired shape and proper part density.
Skilled tradesmen carefully monitor procedures to assure that ultimate ballistic, mechanical, thermal, chemical or ablative properties are achieved.
Geonautics Manufacturing, Inc. is constantly experimenting with new materials.
This development effort has led to new designs and patterns in ballistic helmets and structures, cost reductions for existing components, and development of higher strength, lighter weight material to replace obsolete designs.
GMI's tool and die makers are expert in translating our designers' detail drawings into first quality compression molds.
This capability is important for making rapid and permanent mold repairs when necessary.
Over the years, GMI. has worked with and developed long term relationships with some of the most technically demanding customers in evidence.
