MBD Consulting Engineers (MBD) is a full service civil engineering firm with two offices, the main office located in Conway, SC and an office Asheboro, NC.
The firm was originally founded in 1987 as Marziano & Miner, P.A. and the name changed to Marziano & McGougan, P.A. in 2006 when Joe McGougan and Charles McGougan joined the firm.
With the retirement of Hi Marziano in January of 2014, the firm was renamed as MBD Consulting Engineers, P.A.
The firm continues to provide personalized, innovative engineering services to our clients in South and North Carolina.

Joseph McGougan is a professional engineer and serves as President of MBD Consulting Engineers, P.A.
He is located in our Conway, South Carolina office.
In addition to his duties as a principal in MBD Consulting Engineers, P.A., Mr. McGougan serves as a project manager/designer on water and wastewater treatment projects.
With extensive experience in water treatment in North and South Carolina, Mr. McGougan will direct the company's efforts in these design areas, working directly with the clients and regulatory agencies in the planning, design, permitting, and operation of water and wastewater systems.
He is located in our Conway, South Carolina office.

He also serves as project manager and design engineer in our Asheboro, North Carolina office.
Mr. McGougan is a graduate of East Carolina University with over 28 years of Civil consulting engineering experience including several years as a construction inspector.
He obtained his professional license in 2000.
Mr. McGougan also has experience with the USDA RDA funding program for rural water infrastructure.
He also serves as project manager and design engineer in our Asheboro, North Carolina office.
Mr. McGougan is a graduate of East Carolina University with over 28 years of Civil consulting engineering experience including several years as a construction inspector.

Currently, Ms. McGougan is assisting with design and quality control, preparing permitting documents such as NPDES permits and Environmental Assessments for projects, as well as providing construction support services for projects.
She is a graduate of Clemson University with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
