He has been a licensed professional engineer in the State of Connecticut since 1988 and his business, Trinkaus Engineering, LLC has been licensed as a Professional Engineering Corporation since 2002.

Steve was invited by Dr. Leeyoung Kim of Kongju University to make a presentation on Urban LID practices at the Seoul International Symposium for Water Cycle.
This event was held at Seoul City Hall.
A unique feature of the City Hall is the presence of an indoor living green wall inside the perimeter glass wall of the city hall.
Steve also made a presentation to Master and PhD candidates at Kongju University on Designing LID treatment systems.
The talk focused what type of environmental information you need to properly design LID Infiltration systems, such as Bioretention and Permeable Pavement systems.

Along with Curtis Hinman of Herrera Consultants, we were given a tour of the lower portion of the Nakdong River in Busan, which was part of the Korean Four Rivers Project.
The Four Rivers Project removed light commercial and agricultural uses along 1100 km (684 miles) along the four major rivers in South Korea and restored areas as native habitat or passive recreational areas, consisting of athletic fields, walkways and bike trails.
