This project consists of a four-story, 91-Key (Room) Hotel in Visalia, Ca.
Construction is Type V-A with 50,300 square feet.
Construction is wood framed with wood shearwalls on a concrete mat foundation.
Special care was taken to limit the use of structural steel on the project resulting in some challenging wood-to-wood connection design.
The project started off with a continuous concrete pour for the mat (slide 1).
The first floor stud walls were erected (slide 2) along with some of the larger framing members creating the open spaces within the lobby (slide 3).
