Lahita Engineering was founded in 2010 by Eric Lahita PE.
Eric was licensed by the State of New York in 2006, and decided to follow his dream of working as an engineering consultant shortly thereafter.
He began working for several large heavy civil contractors on deep foundation projects in the tri-state area.
Being centrally located in the Hoboken Area, he also started working with Hoboken and Jersey City residential developers, as well as act as a subcontractor to architectural firms; creating structural sets of drawings.

Lahita Engineering was contracted to design a timber framed staircase for one of PSE&G's Facilities.
The staircase was installed at the back entrance of the substation, and up a steep hill.
A 3-D Model was generated and analyzed in Risa 3D in order to evaluate the bearing capacity of the proposed sonotubefoundations, and to determine the size and layout of the timber superstructure.
Lahita Engineering was tasked with the design of a pipe rack structure to support new pipe lines in Carteret NJ.
The structurewas designed to safely support the new pipes by use of a cantilevered beam system.
Lahita Engineering was tasked with completing a condition assessment of an existing fire escape structure and its connections to the rear masonry facade wall.
Repair details will be provided to make the structure safe.
