Douglas County's decision to form a Public Utility District and construct the Wells Dam project led to the formation of Munson Engineers.
The District Engineer for the the Washington State Highway Department, Ike Munson, partnered with local engineer and construction expert, Chuck Nash, to form Munson-Nash and Associates.
Bechtel Corporation, general contractor for the construction of Wells Dam, then subcontracted with Munson-Nash for significant portions of the work required to complete the project, the only project for which Munson was engaged during the following four years.

Fasteners utilizes underground storm water storage to optimize useful building and parking space in the commercial area of East Wenatchee.
This innovative type of storm water management allows areas that would otherwise be set aside for storm water retention ponds to be used for more valuable retail, office and parking space.
Our engineers designed parking lot, planter, and necessary adjacent public street and sidewalk improvements.
In addition, we designed retaining walls to set the building gracefully in amongst the neighboring commercial properties, and utility connections for sanitary sewer, fire suppression, and water service needed to enable the building to house medical or dental office space.

Weinert Surveying was started in 1978 by Larry Weinert, a well respected surveyor in the Wenatchee Valley, the Upper Valley, and surrounding areas; you do not have to look far to find a survey cap bearing his mark!
When Munson Engineers acquired Weinert Surveying in 1994, it was decided that the Leavenworth office should continue to bear the Weinert name in order better serve our customers and out of respect for Larry Weinert's work throughout the valley.
Today you can stop by our office in the Clock Tower at 894 US-2, Suite H, Leavenworth, WA 98826 or give us a call at (509) 548-5228.
