Design, Engineering, Maintenance, and Field Service of Air-Phase Carbon Adsorption Systems. Since 1987, Process Engineering Services Inc has been offering design, construction and troubleshooting services to the air phase carbon adsorption industry. We are headquartered in Massachusetts. Headed by Michael E. Fasci, an expert in carbon adsorption system, we make our own emission monitoring equipment.
With over 30 years of experience, we are a locally owned company committed to a clean environment. Our process uses activated carbon to capture vaporized industrial solvents and return them in liquid state for reuse. We use the latest technology and service all the leading brands. Free estimates are available.

The majority of carbon adsorption systems are equipped with an emissions monitoring system that determines carbon bed breakthrough or the saturation of the carbon beds.
CEMS also help maintain environmental compliance by limiting emissions to the atmosphere.
At Process Engineering Services, we have our own design of FID (Flame Ionization Detector) monitoring systems (105 FID CEMS) that one designed and manufactured by us.
Dozens of these systems are in operation all over the world, some for more than 20 years.

If you need a carbon change-out, contact Process Engineering Services.
We can provide you with superior activated carbon.
You can also count on us to provide carbon testing and analysis services to determine the state of your activated carbon beds and to calculate its remaining useful life.
Carbon tetrachloride and butane activity level testing are the most common yardsticks for measuring the remaining life of vapor phase activated carbon.
Do you need an old carbon reactivated?
You can count on us for comprehensive reactivation services, including shipping your nonhazardous used carbon to one of our contract reactivation facilities.

To clean the activated carbon you have to strip it using steam.
The stem & solvent vapors get condensed into liquid, and get separate like oil & water.
The stem condensate still has a little bit of the solvent in it and these systems remove the residual solvent from the water.
Typically to levels in the PPB range.

Model 105 Monitoring System is a fully pre-engineered, modular-designed, free-standing, Hydrocarbon analyzer, recorder and calibration facility.
The system utilizes a Rosemount Model 400A Total Hydrocarbon Analyzer, equipped with a Flame Ionization Detector for continuous read-out of the vapor concentration in the exhaust of a carbon absorber.
This method of monitoring is in general compliance with the EPA Method 25A for determination of total gaseous organic concentration using a Flame Ionization Analyzer as stated in the Federal Regulations.
