The "Rollem" is a slow speed (38 rpm on the model 800) precision crimper Powered by a Dayton single phase gear motor, the solid cast iron rollers never touch.
They are set to.015 apart, thus eliminating noise and dust.
The "Rollem" merely cracks and flattens the oats instead of pulverizing them.
The rollers have grooves approximately 1/4 apart with one roller having a special groove in it to grab volunteer corn, beans, etc.
The "Rollem" crimper features all hardened gears and heavy-duty needle roller bearings as well as it's own circuit breaker fuse to protect the motor from overload.
