Hughes Environmental Engineering, Inc. was founded during the Great Depression in 1935 as Electric Products Corporation, which was located on Nelson Avenue in Jersey City. Founder Frank Hughes relocated from Pittsburgh and began the business venture with his two sons, Paul and Richard. With humble beginnings as an appliance sales and service company, their venture transformed into the commercial/industrial air conditioning and refrigeration company that it is today.
