Provencher Engineering was established in 2000 to provide our clients with the professionalism and experience of a large-firm, and the attention to detail and client needs found in a small firm. We have achieved client satisfaction for over 20 years by successfully completing complicated, time-sensitive, innovative designs, analyses, and permits at a competitive economical price.

ProvencherEngineering.com was created to provide an overview of who we are, what we do, whom we do it for, and how we can help meet your needs. We explain some of the design challenges that we faced, and the innovative ways we met and overcame those challenges. These photos provide a visual impact of the culmination of our ideas! Their captions explain the steps involved in executing them.
Services
I operate my bussiness out of a good-size well-equipped home office.
Despite being the sole employee, "WE" is still applicable because instead of hiring, training, and administering to a staff of employees, I instead capitalize on my 29 years of professional experience and contacts by using key professional consultants where necessary, for services that I do not specialize in myself, such as wetland flagging, land surveying, landscape architecture, etc.
With your, or my team of professional subconsultants, we can provide any client with a professional full-service experience of a large firm, but with the attention to detail, and competitive fee structure of a small firm.
A little bit about my home life and family.
I am happily married to my wife Linda of over 28 years!
We have two wonderful sons who are embarking upon their college years.
We expect them to suddenly accumulate infinitely more knowledge than us any day now, but so far, they have continued to demonstrate a closeness and dedication to family and academics that makes us proud.
I enjoy working from home, seeing my sons on their college breaks, and spending time with family every day if I can.
For almost five years, My wife Linda's 86-year old parents lived with us in our home.
For new construction of large sites in rural areas without municipal sewer, a GWDP from the state's DEP or DES is required.
In Massachusetts, the permit threshold is for on-site sewage generation in excess of 10,000 gallons per day.
133,000+ SF office parks, 500+ employee manufacturing plants, and residential developments exceeding 90 bedrooms are examples of developments requiring a GWDP.
This permit requires design of an on-site wastewater treatment facility (WWTF), a soil absorption system (SAS) leach field, a witnessed soil evaluation, monitoring wells, soil borings, permeability testing, a hydrogeological evaluation, and a computer model to predict mounding effects to the groundwater surface, and quality effects to the groundwater environment from the subsurface recharge of the treated effluent.
