Our 30 plus years of success in the commercial Nuclear market has created ongoing projects with the U.S. Department of Energy and Department of Defense which speaks to the caliber and quality of Power Products and Services complementary strengths of innovation and durability.
Services
Since 1983, Power Products and Services has provided contract services to our customers.
Those services have included site repair and preventative maintenance work, site and home office training classes and site walk-downs and equipment evaluations.
Our services and any related work, drawings, analysis or calculations are done in accordance with the Power Products and Services Co., Inc. written Quality Assurance Program.
Specific areas governed by the Quality Assurance Manual are strictly followed.
Power Products and Services has developed a line of special snorkeling tools tor use with nuclear grade vacuum systems.
These tools are of special importance when attempting very high lifting operations or in cases where heavy sludges or slurries may be encountered.
In those applications, the addition of air at the point of pick-up will make quick work of these otherwise difficult tasks.
The tool enables the customer to remove solids from the bottom of a sump or tank without having to add to the water level in the tank prior to cleaning.
Our 2" Floor Tool Kits for nuclear use fit on our 2" Heavy Duty PVC or our 2" lncin-A-Hose Suction Hoses and are manufactured using all corrosion resistant materials.
Their 2 size makes them ideal for use with our larger big CFM capacity units.
The floor tool pipes (straight section, pipe bend, and swivel) are all fabricated from grade 304 stainless steel tubing.
The Floor Tools (available in 16" wide, 20" wide, and 24" wide) are all fabricated from aluminum, and are provided with nylon wheels to prevent binding.
When the need arose tor a special tool to be used by underwater divers for the purpose of cleaning lighting, Power Products responded with a specially designed tool.
The Underwater Tool Brush was designed to be used underwater and was provided with a Camlock connection to ensure hose integrity.
The base of the tool was curved to match the exact contour of the lighting fixture lens.
The entire tool (with the exception of its stiff brass bristles) was fabricated from aluminum materials to make it lightweight.
In 1998 Power Products developed and introduced the first ever certified incenerable vacuum suction hose capable of handling the extremely high vacuum pressures of the Power Products FladVac Nuclear Grade Units.
The product was more than 8 months in the research and testing stages to ensure its incinerable properties as well as its strength.
To this day INCIN-I-HOSE is the only hose product that we know of that can call itself lncinerable.
INCIN-I-HOSE is only available from, and made exclusively for Power Products.
