Burrington Group, Inc. is a locally owned and well established engineering and land surveying firm providing comprehensive civil engineering and land surveying services to meet the needs of municipalities and private clients in Northeast Iowa. The company was originally founded in 1995 by J. David Gibbs as Gibbs Engineering and Surveying.
In 2013, the company was purchased by Randall L. Rattenborg P.L.S. and Jason A. Wenger P.E. and renamed Burrington Group, Inc. (Trivia note: Burrington was the original name for the town of Manchester before the Postal System wanted it changed so as to not be confused with Burlington) The principals have been in the engineering and surveying profession since 1995, with over 20 years in Northeast Iowa.Our staff has roots in Northeast Iowa and has many years of experience with projects in the region.
Project components are assembled and implemented with knowledge and sensitivity to the community and project needs. We provide excellent technical staff, along with the latest in field equipment and computer software to complete your project in a timely and cost effective manner.

Services
The 2009 project included paving of 2nd and 3rd Street from Barber Street to Grove Street, along with water main replacement, sidewalk and drainage improvements.
The six inch concrete pavement totaled 3,200 square yards.
With this area being just south of the high school, a 41 foot concrete pavement provided adequate width for parallel parking on both sides.
The City constructed a mile long, 8 foot wide concrete trail along the north side of Jacoby Drive in 2002.
The 5 concrete walkway included about 4,600 square yards of pavement.
