WLC Engineering and Surveying was originally formed as a Casper, Wyoming engineering and surveying firm, Worthington, Lenhart & Carpenter, by Spec Worthington, Elmer Lenhart and Jim Carpenter.
In 2006, WLC changed its name to WLC Engineering, Surveying, and Planning to better communicate the services we provide while still continuing to recognize our founders.
In 2018, we refocused our brand on our core services and are WLC Engineering and Suveying today.
As industry and government requirements, needs, demands, and desires change, WLC adapts to better meet the needs of our clients.

To WLC Engineering and Surveying, every project is unique.
We don't have a one-size fits all model that we expect your project to adhere to.
By asking the right questions, we verify all of your project components including scope, budget, team, project management, communication style, and schedule are specific to your preferences and desired outcome.
We remain dedicated from beginning to end, offering the highest quality and executing an individualized project management approach in the field and in the office.

Just as surveying is a core WLC Engineering and Surveying service today, land surveying has been a cornerstone of the company since its inception in 1948.
With more than 275 years of combined experience, WLC surveyors have the necessary mathematical, technical and legal knowledge to execute a project above, on, or under the ground.
In addition to Wyoming, WLC employs Professional Land Surveyors registered in Colorado, Idaho, Nebraska, and Utah.
Since our inception, we have worked with municipalities, state and federal agencies, private land owners and developers, and energy and power companies in all aspects of land surveying.

As a true interdisciplinary firm, WLC Engineering and Surveying provides GIS services.
WLC provides standalone services as well as collaborative that allow us to provide dynamic, project-specific solutions to our engineers and surveyors.
This service has become a necessary and valuable tool for the management of geospatial data.
Unlike many firms, utilizing GIS, WLC is able to provide increased clarity through all phases of a project.
From the field to the finished product, our team helps identify the situation and create a mapping and data management plan.
