Phil Garrett started his career at Aspen International Cable Corporation, working as a drafter by night while studying mechanical design by day at Chemeketa Community College.
As Drafting Manager and later VP of Engineering Services, Garrett helped grow the company both in revenue and resources, overseeing the department through its integration as part of Argus Communications.
At Argus (later Dycom), he managed multiple million-dollar fiber network projects across the country.
In 2005, Garrett was selected by the cities of Monmouth and Independence to oversee the inception of MINet, one of the first independent FTTP networks in the country.
