Due to our central location in Plymouth, Maine our company is easily accessible to all major populated towns and cities. We are just a little over two hours north of York, Maine thirty minutes south of Bangor, and two miles from exit 161 off I-95.

Plymouth Engineering was started in 1990 by its founder, Keith P. Whitaker.
The company began as a part-time venture with the purpose of providing professional engineering services to qualified design/build contracting firms as well as to several select local developers.
The need for prompt, reasonably priced, professional services in the New England area led an ever-increasing number of clients to Plymouth Engineering.
The first office was opened in a converted garage on the founder's farm.
In 1994, part time drafting and engineering help was added to meet the increasing workload.

Hilton Garden Inn and the Hampton Inn are two of Bangor, Maine's more recent hotel projects in the Bangor Mall area.
The 124 room, 17 suite, five story Hilton Garden Inn opened in 2008 and has over 4,000 square feet of conference space plus two board room type meeting spaces.
The Hampton Inn, having opened in 2012, is a three story 110 room hotel located in close proximity to the Hilton Garden Inn.
The hotels provided different design challenges for Plymouth Engineering's staff.
The Hilton Garden Inn was a design/build project involving the Franchise owner self-performing as the general contractor with Hilton corporate oversight.
