The Asian-Pacific Chapter of TERMIS promotes education and research within the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine within the countries comprising Asia-Pacific. The European Chapter of TERMIS promotes education and research within the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine within the countries of Europe. The Americas Chapter of TERMIS promotes education and research within the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine within the countries within North and South America.

Membership to TERMIS is open to individuals who are interested in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine and support the mission of the Society. SYIS provides a platform for the "next generation" of scientists and engineers in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine to interact. The formation of thematic groups have been proposed by the Society to engage colleagues, who are passionate about a common subject within tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, to form a collaboration.

The Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society, Inc. (TERMIS) was founded by key leaders of the former European Tissue Engineering Society (ETES) and the Tissue Engineering Society International, Inc. (TESI).
The leaders of each society obtained approval by their membership to proceed with the merger.
To learn more about the formation of the Tissue Engineering Society (TES), the Tissue Engineering Society International (TESI), the European Tissue Engineering Society (ETES), please refer to the piece written by Dr. Charles A. Vacanti, The history of tissue engineering published in J.Cell.
The International Fellows of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (FTERM) was created to recognize a distinguished leader within the tissue engineering and regenerative medicine field.
FTERM was established to recognize an individuals role in shaping the tissue engineering and regenerative medicine field and TERMIS.
During the 2021 virtual TERMIS World Congress in November, our newly elected members of FTERM will be recognized.
