Brian Hewitt started the company in January of 2004.
He started by setting up in his house with a laptop computer and drafting board.
Within one year he purchased computerized Drawings (AutoCAD) and hired a part time AutoCAD operator.
Brian also hired Steven Keirn as a part-time Soil Scientist.
Next, he hired Marc Hewitt to be his AutoCAD operator.
In January of 2007 he purchased the TopCon Robotic Total Station, which provides extremely accurate test hole location, topography, and location of structures on the site.

The design process can be quite overwhelming for the first time client.
That is where our many years of experience will provide reassurance that your system will match your needs, with a cost effective quality design and materials incorporated into the system to give you many years of service.
The process starts with a Soil and Site Evaluation.
Test holes must be dug, usually by a Excavator or Backhoe, to a depth of 6 feet with the ability for us to walk into the test hole.
You cannot use a ladder to get to the bottom.

This system is what most people are familiar with.
It starts with a two Chambered Septic tank (size depending on the number of bedrooms) and the gravity feeds from the tank to the drainfield.
Depending on the soil, the drainfield will vary in length from 40-100 feet per bedroom.
The drainlines will be a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 3 ft into the ground.
The maximum depth of the drainfield is determined by soil type, structure, and the location of the ground water indicated by Mottling.
Standard Gravity systems require a minimum of 3 feet of good soil (no water table) below the bottom of the trench.

Did you know that 25% of all U.S. homes have septic systems?
Yours may be one of them.
If you're not properly maintaining your septic system, you're not only hurting the environment, you're putting your family's health at risk - and may be flushing thousands of dollars down the drain!
To learn about how WA State's on-site sewage system (septic system) (OSS) program keeps people from getting sick and protects the environment, visit our On-Site Sewage System page.
This educational video explains how on-site sewage systems (OSS) function and illustrates the steps you should take to keep your system working well.
