Services
LynStaar performed an in depth survey and report of the entire electrical distribution and mechanical distribution systems at Reader's Digest.
In addition to this report LynStaar has performed design services for several office renovations including the Data Center with UPS systems, generator and new air conditioning units, several office renovations totaling approximately 50,000 square feet and high voltage feeder design.
Also included was replacement of a central heating and cooling system, new chilled water air handling units, new sprinkler systems, variable frequency drives, and associated pumping systems.
Fishkill Correctional Facility is one of the older state-run facilities and required a modernization to its 15,000 volt distribution and standby power systems.
Because the facility has medium to high security buildings, attention was required to the transition from the existing service to the new service without disrupting the power required to contain the inmates.
LynStaar achieved this through coordination with the facility by phasing each building's transition to coincide with daily operations when inmates are in other buildings attending to their daily activities.
LynStaar provides municipal engineering services to the Town of Yorktown, NY.
In general LSE is responsible for the capital projects, sanitary sewer infrastructure, wastewater treatment plant and all environmental services.
As part of the general engineering services, LynStaar also represented the Town of Yorktown during design and construction at its Yorktown Heights Water Pollution Control Facility, which serves the Hallock's Mill Sewer District.
The project included the installation of an Ammonia Removal System to comply with the Town's SPDES Permit with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, which included rotating biological contractors, new trickling filters and an alkalinity control system.
The purpose of the project was to install a utility meter for each of the forty-eight apartments so that the utility company would directly bill each tenant, thereby reducing the cost to the authority.
Also, the new panelboards and risers were to be installed and connected to each apartment's branch circuitry with minimal disruption to the tenant.
Renovations to public area emergency lighting and fire alarm was completed while working closely with the tenants and the authority.
LynStaar performed design services at various sites for the Poughkeepsie Housing Authority.
Security in today's environment has become an important and integral part of the design and construction process.
