Services
When Johnson Engineering was established in 1946, much of Florida was an undisturbed land.
Now 75 years later we have seen radical changes in development and a tremendous population growth which has altered the landscape permanently.
Just as Florida has transformed dramatically over the years, so has Johnson Engineering.
What started as one man surveying Southwest Florida, has developed into a balanced group of professionals whose experience, skills, and efficiency are hard to match.
The company is employee owned by 19 stockholders and led by an internal Board of Directors.
Johnson Engineering has been providing construction inspection services for many years.
Our Transportation team includes experienced and dedicated CEI project administrators, inspectors and contract support specialists.
Our CEI team is fully qualified in the Construction Training and Qualification Program (CTQP) required by the FDOT.
We also provide nuclear density testing and LAP/EEO compliance services.
Our CEI experience includes oversight of roadway, utility and bridge construction for FDOT, local municipalities, private developers and utility providers.
Ignorance is not always bliss.
Federal, state and local regulations often require monitoring to ensure permit compliance, such as water quality sampling, pumpage reporting and flowmeter calibration.
Our Water Resources team can help collect accurate data and report it promptly so our clients remain in good standing.
In the case of commercial real estate transactions, many lending institutions require prospective purchasers to perform a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) to help qualify for Landowner Liability Protections under federal law.
Florida's ecology is delicate and irreplaceable, which makes it a critical element in many engineering projects.
The services that our environmental team offers is ecological assessments, threatened and endangered species surveys habitat restoration, preparation of permit applications, mitigation design, digital image mapping and wetland determinations.
Through careful planning, a balance between nature and man can be achieved, preserving the environment for future generations.
