Michael is a structural engineer and principal at Damron Engineering and Consulting. He has more than 25 years of experience in the design, evaluation, analysis, and repair of structural building systems for a variety of project types. Prior to beginning his career as a structural engineer, he served as a construction contractor serving the residential and commercial markets.
Having served as a project owner, a construction contractor, and a consultant working for owners, Michael has a unique perspective on the various aspects of a project. With each project, he thinks beyond his direct role and considers how his work will affect the entire life of a structure. He communicates that information and more with everyone involved in the project to meet the client's goals.
Michael is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute where he received a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction. He is a registered professional engineer registered in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Maine, with the ability to be licensed in any jurisdiction that may be required.
