The goal of Petty & Associates is to be a collaborative teammate throughout the entire design process. We consistently strive to meet deadlines, respect budgets, and provide innovative design solutions for all projects whether simple or complex. Dan has been with the firm since its inception. His knowledge of the industry, along with his organizational and follow-through skills, has proven to deliver many efficient and cost effective projects.

Dan has extensive experience in new construction, renovation, and remodels with expertise in all of the firm's areas of responsibility. He has considerable experience in medical, educational, correctional, and telecommunication facilities. Bill has over 50 years of experience dating back prior to graduation from North Carolina State University in 1960.

He became a Registered Professional Engineer in 1964.

While practicing in North Carolina, major credits were the pioneering of direct expansion variable volume systems (The system most commonly used in buildings today), the design of the variable volume fan box, the pioneering of energy management in department stores and being recognized throughout the Eastern United States, constant temperature and humidity labs for the textile industry, designing and building constant temperature units used throughout the United States and many foreign countries, and many other major projects in the South.
Services
We guide buildings from the idea stage through construction and beyond by providing mechanical, plumbing and technology consulting as well as engineering design services for projects ranging from greenfield buildings to retrofits to historic renovations.
The firm has considerable experience in new construction, as well as in remodel, renovation and system evaluation.
Petty & Associates can be retained as the Prime Consultant or Design Team Member, and has provided services for Design-Build and CMAR projects.
