Summit Engineering
At Summit Engineering, we apply scientific and technical knowledge to the design, analysis, construction, and maintenance of the built environment. For more than three decades, our highly-qualified team of engineering professionals have worked to engineer the West, bringing both experience and expertise to bear on projects ranging from buildings and businesses to bridges, roads, canals, dams, and developments for the benefit of stakeholders throughout the communities we serve.

Summit Engineering Corporation was founded in 1978 in Reno, Nevada, and initially provided civil engineering design and surveying services to a small number of clients throughout Northern Nevada. Over the years, Summit has grown to become one of Nevada's largest locally-owned engineering firms, a result of providing our clients with the highest-quality professional engineering, surveying, geotechnical and planning services.

Even today, Summit's team is continually innovating and bringing in new engineering disciplines to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients and the demanding geographic and built environments in which we work.
Services
Summit Engineering Corporation was founded in 1978 in Reno, Nevada by a civil engineer and a land surveyor.
In the beginning, our services were limited to civil engineering design and land surveying.
The professional services that we provided expanded slowly until early 1985, when Summit added geotechnical engineering, materials testing, and inspection to the list.
By 1986, we expanded further to include water rights surveying, a service that our development and mining clients required.
Environmental services became a prominent feature during the late 1980s, and in response to the needs of our clients, Summit began providing these services in 1988.
Summit Engineering is a full-service civil engineering firm that has evolved to meet the needs of a diverse group of mining, public works, and private development clients.
Our success in achieving this goal is due to a combination of harnessing the latest technology and dedicated, experienced employees.
These elements, along with our personable, professional staff, enable us to provide the very best services available to our clients.
Clint Thiesse, P.E., our executive vice-president, manages multiple divisions within Summit Engineering.
Summit Engineering has been involved in public works projects in Nevada for more than 30 years.
By definition, public works are a broad category of projects financed and constructed by governments for recreational, employment, and health and safety uses in the greater community.
Public works include bridges, parks, roads, municipal buildings, dams, railroads, schools, hospitals, and other, usually long-term, physical assets and facilities.
At Summit Engineering, our public works teams have extensive expertise in a wide range of public works projects from concept to completion and everything in between.
Summit Engineering has been an industry leader in civil engineering and land development in Nevada and the West for more than 30 years.
Having successfully completed in excess of 3,500 projects, Summit has extensive experience in the design of industrial, commercial, and residential projects.
Our teams pride themselves on taking an innovative and custom-tailored approach to each project.
We have flourished in this respect, satisfying clients, municipalities, and organizations, many of whom have become repeat clients over the years.
Summit Engineering Corporation offers a multitude of specialized services for mining project owners and managers.
