B.K. Barringer, Jr., a registered professional engineer, founded the firm in 1988 as a sole proprietorship providing land planning, civil engineering and utility design services in the Mooresville-South Iredell area.
In 1989 the firm incorporated and changed its name to B.K. Barringer & Associates, PA.
