Services
Tangel Engineering Associates was founded in 1987 by Daniel F. Tangel, P.E. and Timothy E. Tangel, P.E.
Tangel Engineering Associates has designed projects and systems in a wide variety of buildings and occupancies, including high end commercial office spaces, hotels, financial trading facilities, industrial production, storage facilities, refrigerated facilities, restaurants, hospitals, educational facilities and exclusive retail stores.
Our scope of services include the design of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems for new construction, existing building renovations, modular construction, and tenant floor construction.
Tangel Engineering has been serving Fitch and its affiliates since 1992.
Since then we have designed over 350,000 square feet of office space in Manhattan's financial district, including the recent relocation and development of eleven floors at 33 Whitehall Street.
New data center with independent power feed, n+1 redundant uninterruptable power source, redundant branch circuits to all servers, redundant dedicated data room air conditioning systems, and pre-action fire sprinkler system.
New conference center with six conference rooms, each having dedicated, independent air conditioning systems, automated, integrated lighting control, integrated motorized shades and audio-visual capabilities.
The renovation work to this classic midtown Manhattan hotel included a new heating/cooling fan coil system for two contiguous hotel floors at a time, thus permitting phasing of the construction while the hotel was occupied.
Mechanical upgrades included the installation of a new electric modular chiller plant, new modular gas fired boiler plant and new gas fired domestic hot water plant.
In addition to the aforementioned design work Tangel Engineering Associates provided consultation and construction administration for the hotel upgrade including electric utility upgrade, new lobby and restaurant.
This dormitory project includes thirteen two-story buildings, and accommodates four hundred students on campus in suite-style living.
The complex includes a common room, serving as a student lounge and meeting hall.
Each suite has four bedrooms, a kitchen, living room and bathroom.
The design features independent heating temperature control for each bedroom, optional through -wall air conditioning units, central heating and hot water in each building and hard-wired internet access in each private bedroom.
