Aurora Castings
Aurora is committed to producing the highest quality aerospace grade castings. Our Quality Management System, both AS9100 & ISO 9000 approved, is our framework for monitoring, measuring and improving the casting process. Aurora can manage your casting project from design and development to production. We have extensive experience working with 3D prints, stereolithography (SLA) prototypes, mold & tooling construction, mechanical testing, non-destructive testing, 4 axis machining, and assembly.

Aurora has been in the business of making precision castings for over 40 years. We have had the opportunity to be a part of many great aerospace programs. Aurora's staff is equipped to produce investment castings up to 36" x 36" x 36" in size and up to 45 lbs.
Services
Investment casting is an method of manufacturing used to produce complex metal components.
This process is also known as lost wax casting.
Aurora specializes in the investment casting of complex aerospace components specially air-melt alloys.
Investment casting has been used in various forms for the last 5,000 years.
In its earliest forms, beeswax was used to form patterns necessary for the casting process.
Today, more advanced waxes, refractory materials and specialist alloys are typically used for making patterns.
AS9100 is the international management system standard for the Aerospace, Space and Defense (AS&D) industry.
The standard provides aerospace suppliers with a comprehensive quality system for providing safe and reliable castings to the aerospace industry and also addresses civil & military aerospace requirements.
AS9100 is based upon ISO 9001.
Nadcap is an industry-managed approach to conformity assessment that brings together technical experts from both Industry and Government to establish requirements for accreditation, accredit Suppliers and define operational program requirements.
Quality starts from the outset.
All of our castings are designed with full 3D solid models consisting of the complete part with 3D simulation in our CAD/CAM systems, ensuring that all our cuts and tool paths are true.
Our 4 axis machining capabilities and 30 years of experience allow us to provide fast delivery at competitive prices on all machined casting.
Solidification modeling offers foundry engineers away to simulate the thermal conditions that occur during the investment casting process and develop a gating and assembly technique that produces a compliant part in the most economical manner.
SLA Printing, better known as stereolithography, is a 3D printing and additive manufacturing process.
Guided by 3D models and computer programing.
SLAs can produce parts with complex geometries with a high degree of accuracy without the need to invest in expensive tooling.
Customers often choose to have parts made from SLAs when quantities are smaller, specifically during the development phase or when lead times are short.
Aurora provides outstanding and comprehensive expertise in supply chain management, full service from start to finish.
