Services
Weston Engineering, Inc. (WESTON) was established in 1978 to provide groundwater engineering services to the coal and uranium mining industries in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming.
Since its inception, WESTON has been recognized for expertise and service in groundwater engineering.
WESTON provides these services to other consulting engineering firms, municipalities, and industrial concerns throughout the northwestern United States.
Today, our company is proud to continue strengthening our working relationships with clients both new and old.
WESTON provides a variety of contractor services included in this list: well drilling and construction, well video logging, pump sales, pump and aquifer testing, controls and telemetry, materials testing, electrical services, plumbing installation, well rehabilitation, and groundwater exploration.
Our clients include, municipalities, government agencies, coal and petroleum companies, engineering consulting firms, private individuals, and agricultural concerns.
WESTON has experience with all types of pump control systems for large municipal systems to small domestic well controls.
Our staff customizes the pump application to the aquifer conditions, use of water, ease of use and maintenance, and longevity of the components.
We have multiple suppliers and regularly use pumps from Goulds, Grundfos, and Centrilift and pumps from Franklin, Hitachi, and Centrilift.
WESTON owns two pump service rigs for installation and removal of pumping equipment, with hoist capacities of 4,500 feet and 60,000 pounds respectively.
Having these two units allows economy for smaller or shallow pumps and capacity for deeper, heavier pumping equipment.
WESTON is unique among drilling contractors because our corporate team includes experienced hydrogeologists that specialize in identification of aquifers and optimizing the particular well site for the intended use.
WESTON's staff has sited wells in 40 different aquifers and has amassed a wealth of geologic and hydrogeologic data.
They regularly site wells in low permeability Precambrian rocks by using aerial photography to identify water-bearing fracture systems.
WESTON's extensive experience with well construction and keen attention to geologic detail results in successful predictions in well yield and aquifer characteristics before test or production wells are drilled.
WESTON provides Wyoming DEQ - certified Water and Wastewater System Operators for operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems in northeast Wyoming.
This hands-on experience provides an undestanding of the difficulties of system operation in the day-to-day world and plays an important role in design choices during planning and specification preparation.
