Services
O'Reilly, Talbot & Okun (OTO) is a specialty engineering firm.
For over 25 years, we've developed our knowledgeable and experienced team to provide resourceful and cost-effective Geotechnical, Environmental, and Industrial Hygiene consulting services throughout New England, and to other parts of the country.
With time being an extraordinary equalizer, we've seen our start on the second floor of a founding Principal's home evolve to maintaining three office locations (Springfield and Westborough, Massachusetts and Storrs, Connecticut).
These are the embodied values of OTO where, leading by example, we empower our employees and create a dynamic workplace.
Ashley has 20 years of experience providing Geotechnical and Environmental Consulting and is President of our organization.
Having earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Massachusetts in 1998 and 2001, respectively, she is a Professional Engineer licensed in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
Her background includes conducting contaminated soil and groundwater assessments as well as environmental and geotechnical engineering design and construction monitoring.
Offering diverse and comprehensive services makes OTO both a viable one-stop shop, and a team who can support your established group of design and construction professionals.
Our scientists and engineers have experience on projects ranging in size, technicality, scope and budget, and we're ready to collaborate on your next project.
The safe management-in-place and/or removal of building materials that contain asbestos is one of OTO's core specialties.
Understanding and planning of both stabilization and removal projects can make all the difference in maintaining project safety and predictable costs.
I've had a release of oil at my home and am being told I may need to hire a Licensed Site Professional - what does that mean and why do I need one?.
An LSP is someone who not only is trained and licensed by the State of Massachusetts, but has years of documented experience in helping homeowners navigate the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP).
The MCP is a body of regulations designed to address releases to the environment of oil or other hazardous materials, with the goal of protecting both humans and the environment alike.
Observe, document and guide subcontractors in the advancement of excavations, soil borings and monitoring well installations.
Must be flexible and team-oriented with outstanding communication, organizational, analytical, writing, and time management skills.
Must have reliable automobile and driver's license with good driving record and be able to travel (typically throughout MA and CT, but also other parts of New England).
Must be able to work outdoors or at construction sites under variable weather conditions, and be accountable for equipment and tools used as part of projects.
