Services
Wildlands Engineering was founded in 2007 in Charlotte, North Carolina as an ecologically focused engineering company specializing in water resources, stream and wetland restoration, and water quality management.
Wildlands Engineering provides engineering, mitigation banking, and consulting services to a diverse group of clients, including private and public developers, government agencies, and environmental groups.
To fully align ourselves with the goals of our clients, we've constructed a team of dedicated, motivated, and highly-trained stream designers, wetland and riparian buffer restoration experts, engineers, hydrologists, ecologists, real estate brokers, and GIS analysts.
We are always interested in hiring great people to join our team.
If you are seeking a position that is not advertised below and would like to be considered for future positions, please send us your cover letter and resume.
We look forward to connecting with people that are passionate about environmental restoration, water resources engineering, or environmental science.
Wildlands Engineering is seeking a dynamic individual to join our growing company in any of our five offices.
We are looking for a water resources engineer or environmental designer with a background in stream and wetland design, stormwater management, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, construction document production, and construction management.
In 2015, Wildlands officially launched our corporate volunteer program: The One + One Initiative.
This program supports our employees as they step outside the walls of the office to engage with the local community.
Our hope is that our team members will find great joy as they're challenged to use skills that are outside their regular, eight to five skill-set; all the while, making a real impact in our community.

Our mitigation projects offer a win-win solution - facilitating local and regional development while offsetting impacts to the aquatic environment.
Our mitigation solutions protect the environment by providing net improvements to aquatic functions and values in advance of impacts.
Therefore, temporal loss is reduced or eliminated.
Detailed and stringent post construction success criteria and long range stewardship requirements ensure that mitigation banks and turnkey sites provide these ecological benefits over the long term.
Watershed planning provides the framework for addressing water resources concerns in a comprehensive manner.
As part of Wildlands Engineering's commitment to the protection and conservation of natural resources and development of watershed-scale management solutions, we offer watershed assessment and planning services.
Watershed planning promotes water quality improvements, ecosystem restoration, and resource conservation in a comprehensive manner, working within geographic boundaries rather than political ones.
