I'm John Cause, the owner of Ignition Engineering - when you call or email the shop, you get me. I've been rebuilding distributors for nearly 20 years, starting with Orange County Speed in 1991. Since then, I personally have rebuilt and curved thousands of distributors for engine builders, racers, auto repair shops and more. Located here in Anaheim, California, I rebuild one distributor at a time and deliver a quality product.
I stand behind my work, and warranty it. Call me at (714) 334-9143, or contact me via email here.

Services
I start by placing an assembled distributor - yours or our rebuilt distributor - on the distributor machine.
Using the information provided on the distributor curve worksheet, I'll work with you to determine the correct distributor timing characteristics for your application.
Factors include the type of vehicle, usage, engine size and build, compression ratio, camshaft and final gear ratio.
Through the use of advance springs and weights, I put the proper advance curve in the distributor.
Next, I test and plot the curve at a number of RPM points, and supply that sheet along with information on where to set the initial timing advance.
