Newell Engineering, LLC was founded in 2014 to provide land surveying and consulting engineering services. Firm founder and owner, Frank Newell, P.E., P.L.S. has worked continuously since graduation from LSU in 1981 as a consulting engineer and land surveyor in southeast Louisiana. In the process he has developed a detailed and thorough understanding of the area's topography, infrastructure, procedures, and systems, particularly in Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, and Tangipahoa Parishes.

Frank began his engineering career as a survey crewmember for W. A. Tycer in Amite, Louisiana at the age of 20.
During his studies at LSU in Baton Rouge he worked as an instrument man and party chief for Brown and Butler Consulting Engineers.
Subsequent to graduation from LSU with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Frank moved to New Orleans, where he worked for Waldemar S. Nelson Engineers and Walker and Avery Engineers and Land Surveyors.
In 1990 Frank went to work for Linfield, Hunter, and Junius, Inc. in New Orleans where, in the mid-nineties, he was named Vice President.
