SSC Engineering was founded in 1991 by Mike Swim to better serve architects and contractors with friendly, personal service. With early success, Chris Cornett and Bill Schuchat joined the team in 1994 and 1997, respectively, and began what has now become SSC Engineering, a multi-discipline engineering design firm with expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Structural Engineering.
We design it right the first time. All projects are the responsibility of the firm's principals, who stay personally involved in each project. Senior-level commitment keeps projects focused and contributes not only to the success of each project, but also to the success of our clients. We pride ourselves in personalized, responsive service. Our customized approach has brought the success we have enjoyed for the past 25 years. In 2007, SSC designed an 8-story, LEED Gold Certified hospital patient tower; The actual construction cost was nearly 20% below the project budget of $100M; Change orders were very limited amounting to only about 1% of the project, which included additional scope.
