Services
Liquid Engineering Corporation (LEC) traces its roots back to 1972 when its predecessor, Montana Logging and Salvage, was organized to undertake underwater logging and salvage activities in the Pacific Northwest.
LEC evolved into a potable water diving contractor with the development of this specialized field.
As a result of the company's rapid expansion, innovation and track record, our 25,000 clients have increasingly requested a broader array of services and support.
LEC provides creative, efficient solutions and cutting-edge technology to meet each client's unique water tank maintenance requirements.
Over the past 25 years, Liquid Engineering's clients have included over 25,000 water utilities throughout the country, nearly 300 consulting engineering firms, dozens of contractors and federal governmental agencies, the Department of Defense, tank manufacturers and painting firms, and numerous Fortune 500 and O & M companies.
Liquid Engineering provides a complete range of services to meet virtually all underwater and marine service needs.
Inspections - LEC's inspectors can provide everything from routine exterior assessments, to detailed interior and exterior structural engineering inspections of your potable water tanks, reservoirs, water towers and clearwells.
The American Water Works Association currently recommends inspection of drinking water tanks every 3 years.
The frequency of cleaning is dependent on sediment accumulation and the requirements of your state and local regulatory agencies.
Compared to draining operations, in-service work allows for minimal water loss, sustained fire suppression capacity and no interruptions to your normal procedures and system operations.
LEC is in recognized compliance with every state's regulatory agency and exceeds the national standards.
Budgeting for water tank maintenance is typically a battle, and LEC understands that.
Therefore, we offer remote camera ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) inspections as a cost effective alternative to our comprehensive dive maintenance.
Our ROVs are equipped with video cameras and lights which allow for a remote inspection of the interior of your water tank.
Although an ROV cannot clean or perform repairs, it is an effective tool for identifying the general condition of your tanks, clearwells, reservoirs and water towers at a cost that is well within any budget.
As the largest In-Service provider of water tank inspection, cleaning, and maintenance, Liquid Engineering Corporation is recognized throughout the country for delivering cost-effective solutions to the problems associate with today's regulatory climate.
Liquid Engineering Corporation's inspectors are highly trained and experienced in many different forms of water tank inspections, including those required by the National Fire Protection Association.
In addition to any regulation set forth by your state and local governing bodies, the NFPA requires routine inspections of steel and concrete water tanks in Section 9.2.6 of NFPA 25-2008.
